Reminder: our common rhythm

Welcome to Rattafest! To ensure that our three-day adventure in Setomaa is memorable, safe, and respectful, we have written down some important principles and agreements.

The success of our festival is a joint creation of all of us. We are caring, we notice our fellow humans, and we protect nature!

On the track: safety and your responsibility

Follow the traffic law (TL)! We are driving on public roads. Follow signs, traffic lights, signals from traffic controllers and always show the direction with your hand.

Only ride when sober! Cycling while intoxicated (both under the influence of alcohol and drugs) is prohibited by law and is strictly discouraged at the Cycling Festival. The organizers have the right to remove anyone showing signs of intoxication on the trail.

A helmet is strictly recommended! This is your first and most important piece of safety equipment. Rattafest strongly recommends wearing a helmet throughout the entire course.

Your responsibility. As organizers, we do our best to ensure your safety and secure the more difficult sections of the road, but you, as the rider, bear the ultimate responsibility for your riding style, health, and the technical condition of your bicycle. Not wearing a helmet is your personal decision and responsibility.

Underage people: For participants under the age of 18, the parent or an authorized adult representative accompanying them is responsible for their safety, traffic behavior, and wearing a helmet on the course.

Find your rhythm. This is not a race. Enjoy the ride, the scenery, and the “thought stops.” If you want to pass, do so safely and let your companion know in advance.

Don't block the road. When stopping always pull over to the side of the road so that others can pass safely.

In the Camp (Treski): our common home

Be considerate of others. We are friendly, open and helpful. Rattafest is a community event.

Respect the curfew. The camp area is quiet from 00:00 to 07:00. If you wish to continue talking, you can do so more quietly in the party area, without disturbing others' sleep.

Alcohol. In the campsite area IT IS NOT ALLOWED to consume imported alcoholic beverages. The organizers and security have the right to remove prohibited beverages. Bars are open in the camp party area, offering a wide range of drinks at reasonable prices.

Your valuables. Do not leave your phone, wallet or other valuables lying around in the tent. Lock your bike. The organizer is not responsible for lost or stolen items.

Bonfires and grilling are only allowed in places designated and marked by the organizer. The organizer have to right to prohibit this in case of extremely dry or windy weather conditions.

Nature: let's honour it

Rattafest takes place in one of the most beautiful and cleanest areas in Estonia. It is our duty to keep it at least as clean as it was before us.

Zero tolerance for litter. Take absolutely all trash (including banana peels, gel packs, etc.) with you from the trail to the camp. Nothing is allowed to be thrown on the trail!

Sort the trash. There are clearly marked garbage points at the campsite for containers, biowaste, and household waste. Let's use them correctly.

It is recommended to bring your own drinking bottle and camping utensils (if possible). There is a possibility to fill up with drinking water at the camp. We avoid the consumption of single-use packaging.

What do we NOT tolerate?

Rattafest is a festival of good emotions. Our event has zero tolerance for the following activities:

Any aggressive, disrespectful, violent or malicious behavior towards fellow visitors, organizers, local residents or nature.

Use and possession of any kind of narcotic substances.

Cycling while intoxicated.

Consumption of your own alcohol on the event premises.

The organizers have the right to remove any person from the event who violates these principles or does not comply with the instructions given by the organizing team.

See you on the road and in Treski!
